Akramatic Engineering is a quality sub-contract sheet metal and fabrication company offering excellent service to many industries for over 40 years.
We offer a wide range of skills from fine limit sheet metalwork to medium size fabrication and welding, utilising our in-house facilities for small to medium batch production.
Our customers range from industries as diverse as Telecommunications, Power Generation, Fire Protection, Medical, Waste Management & Recycling, Power Distribution, Agriculture, Nuclear, Road & Rail, Retail & Lighting, Vending, Alternate Energy, Electronics, etc.
We employ around 30 people generating annual sales in excess of £1.5 million.
Regular investment in new equipment, to improve our capabilities and capacity, allows us to maintain control of the majority of processes. However, where necessary we use quality local sub-contractors for operations for which we do not currently have facilities. To this end we have invested in a purpose built powder coating plant, a CNC machining centre and have replaced our laser with an improved model. We have recently set-up our own shot blast unit to give improved coating adhesion on heavier fabrications.
The aim of continual improvement as also lead to us achieving accreditation for ISO 9001:2008, in August 2011. We do not take this as a rubber stamp of our quality systems, but see it as a tool to ensure we give our customers, not only good quality, but also service and price. This is maintained by monitoring each and every order throughout manufacture to ensure we are as efficient as possible.
