On stand number E21 at Subcon 2012, Henkel will be revealing a sustainable solution to an age old problem. How do you stop a user-friendly, bactericide-free cutting fluid from becoming contaminated with bacteria, resulting in the emulsion splitting and producing bad odours? The answer is with the patented emulsifier technology, the main feature of its new Multan 71-2 cutting fluid.
Although a newcomer to the UK, this product already has a proven track record on mainland Europe. For example, the tooling manufacturer Walter AG, now uses Multan 71-2 in its training and demonstration centre as its former coolant was responsible for a strong build-up of odour when machines were left idle.
Not only did Multan 71-2 immediately resolve this problem it also demonstrated outstanding process stability. This success led the product being adopted on the production line for the manufacturing of turning tool holders for indexable inserts. And here, it didn’t just provide important health and safety benefits, it also delivered quality performance in volume production and excellent cost efficiency.
