With around a dozen engineering companies across Lancashire, we specialise in all aspects of precision engineering at our 140,000sq foot facility in Lancashire comprising cnc machining, fabrication, sheet metalwork and laser cutting.
WEC Machining
Geared up with 2 Mazak Machine shops (Hi-Spec CNC and Nutter Aircrafts), the WEC Machining division has benefited from significant investment in new CNC machinery and is able to offer multi-axis sub-contract machining supplying customers across the UK and Europe. Our equipment and facilities include vertical CNC milling, horizontal CNC milling, CNC turning and casting machining. We specialise in the manufacture of tight tolerance mill turned parts to customer specifications and are experts in supplying small to medium batches of components on short lead times.
WEC Laser
Integrating 2 of the North West most prolific laser cutting companies, Laser Engineering in Darwen, and 5750 Components in Liverpool, WEC Laser has grown into one of the UK's biggest sub-contract CNC laser cutting companies.
As well as flat bed laser cutting, we offer CNC laser tube cutting and box section and provide a full laser cutting service. The division is housed in our state-of-the-art purpose-built facility erected in 2009 and comprises 8 flat-bed laser machines, the first & only Trumpf 7000 tube cutting machine, a new Adige tube laser machine and the UK’s first 7kW flat bed single head laser machine.
WEC Fabrication
The fabrication side of the Group offers design and fabrication of metal/alloy products, ranging from small precision components to large industrial fabrications. We design & manufacture rail signal structures, motorway structures, pressure vessels and cabinets, to name but a few! With over 30 years of experience in dealing with all metals and alloys, we provide a comprehensive computer design, manufacture and installation service to all aspects of the engineering sector. We are certified to ISO 9001 and 'Link Up' approved and are constantly investing in the latest technologies, enabling us to produce and manufacture fabrications with more speed and accuracy; keeping costs down and providing our clients with a far superior finished product.
