Subcon brings Danish subcontractors together
04/06/2010 00:00:00
Thanks to help from Subcon exhibition manager Jon Clark, two Danish companies, Brusch Engineering and Dansk Sintermetal became aware of each other and found out that the companies were a perfect match for a shared stand D07 at this year’s Subcon.
Both companies manufacture smaller parts to customer orders and want to offer their expertise to the UK market. It is the first time at Subcon for Brusch Engineering, while Dansk Sintermetal is aiming to repeat the success it had as a first time exhibitor at Subcon last year.
Brusch Engineering’s core competency is the precision engineering of complex small parts in series from 50 to 5000 pieces – up to a yearly requirement of 30,000 parts. The company manufactures turned or machined parts in all kinds of materials ranging from stainless steel to different kinds of plastics. The parts are either supplied ready for assembly, or delivered as assembled products according to customer specifications.
Dansk Sintermetal’s core competency is sintered components (0,3 g - ca. 3 kg) with complex geometries. These are offered in large scale production as well as short runs from 5000-10000 pieces per year and upwards. The company manufactures pressed and sintered components from metal powder in iron, steel, stainless steel, bronze, copper, certain copper-based alloys and SMC (Soft Magnetic Materials). The process gives good mechanical properties and have a very little material waste.
