Impregnation Services provide vacuum impregnation to seal porous castings, there are many reasons for impregnation, and some of these are listed below:

• To block leaks in pressure-tight assemblies such as valves, engines, fuel pumps, instrument housings and electronic components.
• To prevent finish failure of porous metals.  When a part's porosity is sealed, no exudation of contaminates can leech out and create blow-holes in the surface finish.
• To improve machineability, and
• To stop sub-surface corrosion by impeding the "electrolytic circle" formed within the porosity.
